Position Overview:
The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting the employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle. This position partners with managers and employees to provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, recruitment, benefits, leave administration, compliance, and HR operations. The HR Generalist is a trusted resource who helps foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This is a full-time, temporary position with an open-ended duration based on business needs. The position is fully remote.
A Typical Day in the Life of an HR Generalist:
No two days are the same. One day you may be onboarding new employees and coaching managers through employee relations matters, while the next you're coordinating leave requests, supporting recruiting efforts, or partnering with Payroll on employee changes.
In this role, you will:
Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager HR questions.
Support recruiting efforts, including screening candidates, scheduling interviews, preparing offers, and coordinating onboarding.
Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life events, and employee inquiries.
Coordinate leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, paid family leave, and other applicable leave programs.
Partner with managers to address employee relations concerns, performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
Maintain employee records and HRIS data to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
Process employee status changes, compensation updates, promotions, and terminations.
Assist with payroll changes and partner with Payroll to ensure accurate processing.
Draft HR communications, policies, employment letters, and other documentation.
Support performance review and merit increase processes.
Assist with immigration, relocation, and onboarding documentation as needed.
Coordinate compliance training and maintain training records.
Monitor compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Assist with annual HR initiatives including Open Enrollment, compensation reviews, compliance reporting, and employee engagement activities.
Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics.
Participate in special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.

The pay range for this position is $31.00 – $40.00 per hour. Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience and skills, and location. Pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the pay range applicable at the time.
