Director, IT Business Solutions - Remote

Position overview:

SDI is seeking a full-time Director of IT Business Solutions in the Information Technology Services department. The Director of IT Business Solutions will optimize the design, development, maintenance, and operation of all SDI business applications, including the PeopleSoft ERP (Financials & Supply Chain Management), a client-facing eProcurement platform, back-office accounting systems, and various custom tools used by SDI team members. This role will be actively involved in the design, development, testing, and management of these applications, working with both internal and external resources to achieve SDI's IT objectives. The Director will prioritize tasks, provide leadership within the team, and collaborate across other departments to ensure the successful execution of business solutions. This role is remote.

A typical day in the life of a Director of IT Business Solutions:

  • Oversee the development of SDI’s ERP system and back-office solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers to define release plans, sprints, and development roadmaps.
  • Manage the daily operations of PeopleSoft developers.
  • Ensure applications and services align with design specifications and meet business requirements.
  • Coordinate and prioritize projects and resources to support business objectives.
  • Adhere to SDLC processes and SDI’s development standards.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications and documentation for modifications.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer within the team and to relevant business units.
  • Establish and uphold IT development policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to other departments on software needs and technical requirements.
  • Lead and support the growth of programming, automation, and data warehousing teams.

The skills you’ll contribute to our diverse team:

  • BA/BS in computer science and/or relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years leading a team of developers.
  • 5+ years of ERP development, application design, SQL and IT management experience.
  • Prior experience with PeopleSoft required, FSCM experience preferred.
  • PeopleTools 8.4x or higher experience.
  • Knowledge of the PeopleSoft toolset: Application Designer, App Engine, SQR.
  • Design thinking experience is a plus.
  • Manufacturing or Supply Chain experience preferred.

The pay range for this bonus-eligible role is $130,000 - $160,000 per year with a 10% bonus. Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience and skills, and location. Pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the pay range applicable at the time.
