Position overview:
Are you the mechanical expert ensuring reliability at the plant? This Engineer is the key technical resource for plant engineering and maintenance personnel by providing significant engineering and maintenance experience and knowledge. This guru will proactively and creatively seek out, identify, implement, and document cost savings. The Engineer will also create favorable customer relations and collaborative working relationships between the customer maintenance staff and selected suppliers. Acting as a liaison between plant operations and maintenance, this Engineer works together on a team with other Engineers to actively identify, implement, and document cost savings while creating and sustaining customer relations and healthy working relationships between our employees and suppliers. A typical day in the life of a Technical Services Engineer:
Contribute to the development of projects to maintain infrastructure and improve reliability strategies.
Develop preventive maintenance programs and identify and optimize spare parts required to support those activities.
Develop basic opportunity identification, facilities/process modifications, and determine any repair or warranty needed for electrical and mechanical components.
Conduct any reverse engineering of parts and assemblies.
Attend engineering meetings and offer ideas to solve issues that are limiting production while interacting with maintenance, engineering, and process operators on the plant floor.
Identify, manage, and develop suppliers that will be used at the plant.
Identify and develop effective documentation to measure and analyze inventory levels, lists of materials, purchased parts, equipment, and any miscellaneous items to support our manufacturing processes and production.
You will be analyzing customer data and reviewing engineering drawings/blueprints to estimate quantity and type of materials and parts for our plant.
The skills you’ll contribute to our diverse team:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Progressive engineering work-related experience in the areas of maintenance manufacturing, managerial, or ability that would be a good addition for this environment.
Experience with continuous improvement tools, such as Lean Six Sigma.
Ability to read and interpret documents related to safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. when necessary.
Experience in Machine Design and Build/Job Shop environment is a plus.
Understanding of indirect materials, purchasing, inventory management, and calibration techniques/requirements is a plus.

The pay range for the role is USD $90,000 - $100,000 annually. Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience and skills, and location. Pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the pay range applicable at the time.
