Client Procurement Manager

Position overview:

Are you an expert with indirect supplies and creating in-basket assessments with suppliers? Do you like to be the subject matter expert (SME) to the client? This sourcing SME will be the go-to expert, commanding considerable spend oversight ranging from $50-$100 million with accountability to deliver on cost-saving goals exceeding $2 million. The Client Procurement Manager will search for suppliers related to personal protective equipment (PPE), pipes, valves, fittings, chemicals, lubricants, janitorial, electrical, as well as many other maintenance, repairs and operations (MRO) related materials.

A typical day in the life of a Client Procurement Manager:

  • Acting as a liaison between SDI and our clients to ensure seamless execution of projects.

  • Leading the analysis, development, implementation, and alignment of sourcing strategies to assist in achieving our business and client goals.

  • Creating an "MRO-centric" sourcing strategy to improve measuring our customer satisfaction, compliance, and cost benefits. Additionally, analyzing client spend for MRO across various categories.

  • Leading new and existing sourcing relationships by ensuring a competitive advantage in overall quality, service, and delivery.

  • Collaborating with other team members to negotiate existing and new contracts, while improving SDI’s current negotiation process.

  • Communicating with team members and other SDI staff regarding any changes around savings, projects, and procurement activities.

  • Driving continuous improvement.

The skills you’ll contribute to our diverse team:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience, particularly in the MRO procurement environment.

  • Comfortable navigating through Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulae etc.).

  • Comfortable with market basket assessments, e-sourcing, P2P, and reverse auction.

  • Ability to handle contract negotiation, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.

  • Travel required up to 25% to our different client and supplier sites.

The pay range for this bonus-eligible role is $85,000 - $95,000 annually. Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience and skills, and location. Pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the pay range applicable at the time.
